Meet the Founder
Anjy Vaswani
Anjy’s career has been shaped by the lighting industry, with experience spanning manufacturing, project coordination, sales and business development.
She has worked closely with interior & lighting designers, architects and contractors across a broad range of projects where both design intent and execution matter.
That journey gave her a clear understanding of what sits behind a successful project: not only the creative vision, but the specification, sourcing, production and delivery required to bring it to life.
What she has always enjoyed most is working with creative people - sharing a passion for light, interiors and the process of creating beautiful spaces.
Her background in photography gave her an early appreciation for light, composition and material, while her connection to manufacturing in China opened the door to an extraordinary world of specialist makers and production capability.
Together, those influences became the foundation for Found East Studio - a studio built around exceptional product, considered service and finding the right solution for every project.
Found East Studio was born from one simple frustration: finding beautiful lighting and furniture with real character shouldn’t be so difficult.
What began as a personal search opened the door to a much wider world of specialist makers, materials and manufacturing capability in China - much of it still relatively unseen within the UK design market.
We created Found East Studio to make that world more accessible to architects, interior designers and lighting designers.
Rather than beginning with one manufacturer or one catalogue, we begin with the project - the space, the brief and what it needs to become.
From architectural essentials and everyday pieces to statement designs and fully bespoke solutions, we find the maker best suited to the project.

Our aim
Our aim is simple: to help designers create beautiful, thoughtful spaces with products that feel right for the project rather than simply familiar.
Sometimes that means finding a beautifully resolved essential.
Sometimes it means discovering something unexpected.
And sometimes it means creating something entirely bespoke.
But exceptional product is only part of the story.
We believe successful projects depend just as much on service, communication and attention to detail.
From specification and sampling through to production, quality control and delivery, we stay closely involved throughout the process.
Found East Studio is based in London, with trusted support in China through our family-run lighting manufacturing and export business, established for more than two decades.
This means we are not sourcing from China at a distance.
Our team on the ground can work directly with manufacturers, visit factories, coordinate samples and finishes, follow production and carry out quality checks before goods leave China.
Together, this gives Found East Studio a presence on both sides of the process - combining personal service in the UK with trusted support where the products are being made.
